Dr Amit Bery graduated his M.B.B.S from Guru Gobind Singh Medical college, Faridkot, Punjab in November 1998. He joined his postgraduate in Internal Medicine in Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana in October 2001. After completion of his MD in November 2004, he continued working as Senior Resident in the Department of Medicine, till 2006. He also worked as an emergency consultant for around an year in Dayanand Medical College and Hospital. He joined as Assistant Professor in the Medicine department on 2nd November 2007. He was then subsequently promoted to the post of Associate professor and then to post of Professor in 2023. During his long career of 23 years in DMC, he has held various positions. He was appointed as the Nodal coordinator for swine flu and Tuberculosis in DMC&H. He played an active role in NABH coordination committee. He worked actively during Covid pandemic and was part of the active task force.
